Visiting the 2024 Surface Design Show

Members of our Group marketing and commercial teams attended this week’s Surface Design Show at the Business Design Centre in London. The annual event is an opportunity to showcase the latest design innovations and learn more about how we can build towards a better future.

The event takes place over three days and offers exhibitors from the architectural and design industry from around the globe the chance to come and present their products and provide help and information to interested parties. The event is packed with talks, award ceremonies, and is a lynchpin in the design events calendar.

Growing a sustainable future

With the growing calls for change, the 2024 Surface Design Show had a recurring theme of sustainability. Numerous talks were held discussing the topic of sustainability and how this industry plays such a significant role.

As part of our ongoing commitment to a cleaner future, we attended a talk with a panel of industrial experts about how brands can manage sustainable goals. See Limited are committed to achieving net zero by 2030 and talks like this only better our understanding of sustainability that can be passed on to our operating businesses Inspired Surfaces, Performance Panels and Bousfields in order to fulfil our environmental commitments.

Learning about colour trends at the Surface Design Show 2024

As a group, we also strive to stay ahead of the curve and keep on top of the latest trends in the design world. As members of Colour Hive, during our visit we had a look around their quirky stand highlighting 2025 directions and attended their trend forecast talk, where we gained insightful knowledge of the upcoming colour and design trends, including ‘Hack’ a 2025 direction that questions how the snowballing of advancements in tech could impact creativity.

The team at Colour Hive research and produce the latest seasonal design trends to help design and colour professionals stay aware of the latest innovations. Their design directions and colour palettes are heavily researched and they provide insightful editorial that bring context and depth.
