Waste To Power
One of our flagship initiatives is Waste to Power 2029, a pioneering project to transform all wood waste generated by our operations into renewable electricity.
Waste To Power
89% reduction in scope 1 & 2 emissions since 2019
98% reduction in scope 2 emissions 2024
100% renewable electricity at both sites
Our Work
Science Based Target Initiatives (SBTi)
See Limited is committed to achieving Net Zero by 2030, verified through the Science Based Targets initiative (SBTi). As one of the UK’s first SMEs to adopt this framework, we are proving that small businesses can drive big change in the built environment.
Our pathway goes beyond high-level targets. We are actively:
-
Electrifying our company vehicle fleet.
-
Investing in renewable energy tariffs across all sites.
-
Reducing reliance on fossil fuels through operational efficiency.
-
Embedding sustainability criteria into every procurement and investment decision
By aligning with the Paris Agreement’s 1.5°C goal, we are not only reducing emissions but also building resilience into our business model and supply chain.
Our science-based target that has been set and validated by SBTi is to reduce absolute scope 1 and 2 GHG emissions by 42% by 2030 from a 2020 base year and to measure and reduce our scope 3 emissions.

Annual Sustainability Reporting and Accountability
We work with the Sustainable Business Alliance to publish an Annual Sustainability Report. This independent report provides full transparency across our environmental, social, and governance (ESG) commitments, setting a higher standard for accountability in our sector.
The report includes:
-
Environmental performance: Full disclosure of carbon emissions, progress against our Net Zero pathway, and initiatives such as fleet electrification, zero landfill, and Waste to Power 2029.
-
Social sustainability: Employee wellbeing, apprenticeships, CPD and graduate programmes, DEI initiatives, and community engagement.
-
Governance and accountability: How ESG is embedded into board-level decision making, supplier standards, and transparent reporting frameworks.
By publishing a complete picture, we demonstrate that true sustainability must integrate people and profit This commitment to transparency enables customers, partners, and employees to see exactly how we are driving change, year after year.
Waste to Power 2029
Every year, the construction industry generates thousands of tonnes of wood waste. Traditionally, this material is either downcycled, sent to biomass plants, or disposed of through external contractors, often with uncertain environmental outcomes.
One of our flagship initiatives is Waste to Power 2029, a pioneering project to transform all wood waste generated by our operations into renewable electricity.
This closed-loop approach will:
-
Eliminate reliance on external waste disposal.
-
Generate clean, renewable power for our sites.
-
Demonstrate true circular economy leadership in the construction materials sector.
This has been recognised as an example of innovation that could reshape our sustainable distribution & fabrication.
