Reflecting on See Limited’s incredible awards season in 2024

The curtain has come down on our 2024 awards season at See Limited and we couldn’t be prouder of what we have achieved this autumn, after picking up four sustainability awards.

To be selected as finalists in the sustainability category at five different award ceremonies, including a national award, was an incredible achievement. But to then go on and win four awards is something we couldn’t be prouder of.

This recognition is not just a testament to the hard work and dedication of our team at See Limited and our operating businesses Performance Panels and Bousfields, but also to the commitment we have to placing sustainability at the core of everything we do.

Over the past year we have established innovative practices, reduced our carbon footprint, partnered with like-minded individuals in the Northamptonshire area, all to keep pushing for a more sustainable future in the UK’s built environment industry, where we operate as a group of businesses.

It is one thing for us to be noticed and recognised for our efforts, but another knowing that our work is having a tangible, positive impact on the built environment, as well as encouraging others to adopt more sustainable practices and this string of award successes reinforces that.

Flashback to See Limited’s award success

Rewind back to October when we were heading into our first awards ceremony at the NNBN awards. In front of 300 individuals representing businesses and charities within the Northamptonshire community, See Limited were awarded the Green Award.

Taking home that first award was a fantastic way to start the season, especially with the support in the room from partners and connections based in Northamptonshire cheering us on, it gave us a real boost of confidence that our efforts to reduce our carbon footprint are being recognised.

Next up, the big one. A trip down south to London for a national award. Doubling up on awards, we got our hands on gold in the Sustainability Award at the National Building and Construction Awards.

We are unbelievably proud of this achievement. The awards acknowledge those working within the building and construction industry, and with the built environment industry contributing to 25% of the UK’s total carbon emissions, sustainability is an important topic of conversation.

To win this award as an SME is monumental, our efforts have been recognised on the national stage creating a platform to raise awareness amongst our industry of what we do as a group of businesses as well as promoting our sustainable product portfolio. It still hasn’t quite sunk in!

The awards kept coming as we made it a hat-trick in November with another Sustainability Award win at the Northamptonshire Business Excellence Awards. This one was particularly special as the judging process was accredited and independent and we were chosen as winners by a judging panel, which consisted of Nick Hewer, star of The Apprentice UK, Rachel Mallows MBE, and Claire Harvey, Managing Director at Reed.

It was great to learn that the judges were not only impressed with our efforts to reduce our carbon emissions but also how we offer our services to support and encourage other businesses in our supply chain to be more environmentally focused.

And the cherry on the cake was our final win of the year at the Northamptonshire Chamber of Commerce’s Northamptonshire Business Awards as we took home the North Northamptonshire Sustainability Award.

The award sponsors, Wise Parking, who had the final decision on selecting the winner, shared that they were impressed not only with what we do as a Northamptonshire based company, but how our efforts have had an impact on a global scale, encouraging and influencing sustainable practices on projects including new washroom facilities at JFK Airport, New York.

It was a memorable evening surrounded by partners in Northamptonshire. Winning this latest award marks an incredible finish to what has been an outstanding awards season for See Limited.

Daniel McNerney, Managing Director at See Limited, said: “It has been an incredible season for us, and we’re incredibly proud of what we’ve achieved. To have been selected as finalists in five different award ceremonies, including a national award, was already a huge honour.

“But to win four awards is incredible. It’s a testament to the hard work and dedication of our team, as well as our commitment to placing sustainability at the core of everything we do here at See Limited.”

Looking ahead to See Limited’s 2025

But, despite our celebrations, we know that this is only the beginning. Sustainability is a topic of conversation that isn’t going to disappear overnight. Instead, we must use this as motivation to continue leading the charge to a more sustainable built environment.

Daniel continued: “But, as proud as we are of these wins, they are only the beginning. While these trophies and accolades are incredible, we want to make a real impact. We know that sustainability is a journey.

“Our commitment to reducing carbon emissions and taking sustainable steps forward in the built environment industry is stronger than ever, as well as championing and developing our sustainable product portfolio.”

Here at See Limited, and our operating businesses, Performance Panels and Bousfields, we are more motivated than ever to make a positive change and we are so excited to see what the future holds.

We are proud to lead by example within the built environment industry, consistently driving change with sustainable solutions that make a big difference. Our product offerings, including SanFoot® Real Wood Veneer and BioCarbon Laminates, are designed to reduce environmental impact while delivering high-performance results for our clients.

Through these innovative efforts, we are not only reducing our own carbon footprint but also inspiring other businesses in our supply chain and across the industry to adopt more sustainable practices.

Thank you to everyone who has supported us on our journey, you all have played a part in what has been an incredible awards season. We look forward to continuing working together into the new year.

The ball is already rolling on our next chapter. We are so excited to see what 2025 will bring.
