Following the January 2025 project launch, this next phase brought together sustainability experts from the Northamptonshire business community and academic leads from Aston University and the University of Northampton to support See Limited’s commitment to transparent, credible reporting.

Led by Dr Ebenezer Laryea (Aston University), Simon Derrick (Sustainable Business Alliance), and Seyi (University of Northampton), the session marked a key milestone in developing a tailored reporting framework for See Limited and our operating businesses, Performance Panels, our distributing arm and Bousfields, our fabricating arm.

Also in attendance were See Limited team members Robert Thompson, CEO, Inga Gusauskaite, Digital Marketing Manager, and Natalie White, Accounts Administrator, who continue to be involved in the project, working closely with academic and sustainability partners.

The workshop focused on our double materiality assessment, an approach that considers both the sustainability impacts of our business and the opportunities for improvements.

Reviewing materiality across 16 ESG topics

Using SBA’s Materiality Compass tool, we reviewed 16 See Limited's most material topics based on market requirements & regulations and competitors benchmarks, including:

  • Emissions

  • Waste

  • Biodiversity

  • Health and Wellbeing

This helps to define where See Limited can make the greatest impact, where we face the highest risk, and how we can align with global standards such as the Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive (CSRD) and Global Reporting Initiative (GRI).

Long-term commitment to sustainable progress

Robert Thompson, CEO, said: “It’s important for us to be open and transparent with our sustainability activity.

“It’s been incredible to see the progress since our first meeting. Collaborating with experts like Simon, Ebenezer, and Seyi brings new energy and structure to our sustainability journey. This workshop is a clear step forward in turning ambition into action.

“Engaging with our academic and sustainability partners has provided us with invaluable insights, helping us to align our practices with global standards and to drive continuous improvement across our operations.”
